itel P15: Full Specification, Features, and Prices

iTel P15 is another cheap entry smartphone from iTel with lots of amazing features and specs while offering at ₦23,000 ($60) price tag. For this affordable price tag, you’ll be getting a 5-inches display, dual-SIM, Mediatek MT6580A SoC chipset coupled with 1GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt storage, and Android 9.0 Pie skin.

Although we’ve been seeing big battery capacity on iTel phones, the Chinese company takes it to a new level by integrating a whopping 4000mAh battery and a fingerprint sensor at the rear. We’ve reviewed the iTel P15 total features to know whether it is worthy of this price tag.


iTel P15: Design and Display

The iTel P15 features a decent design and looks quite attractive. The premium plastic finish on the body gives the phone a rich look and aesthetics. The smooth rear panel houses the dual rear camera and the fingerprint sensor following behind. The iTel P15 is available in Elegant Blue, Midnight Black, and Champagne Gold color options.

On the rear of the device is a plastic panel on which there are a dual-camera set-up and the fingerprint sensor located at the center. Slightly below the biometric scanner is an inscripted “iTel” branding logo. Despite its big battery cell and approximately measuring 8.3mm in thickness weighs just 123g.

However, the iTel P15 still sports some bezels around the corners contrary to most recent smartphones. The iTel P15 comes with a screen display of 5-inches IPS LCD touchscreen using an 18:9 aspect ratio, along with a screen resolution of 480 x 854, and 219 PPI.

 

iTel P15: Performance, Software, and Battery Capacity

The iTel P15 runs on Mediatek MT6580A chipset which is paired with Mali-400MP2 GPU for the handling of graphics. iTel P15 is hooked at 2GB RAM and inbuilt storage of 16GB which can be expanded (up to 32GB) via a dedicated SDcard slot.

The iTel P15 processor is below average which makes the device to hang or get hot after long hours of usage. As expected, the iTel P15 runs on Android 9.0 Pie (Go Edition) with iTel skin slapped on top of it to enhance smartphone performance.

However, the iTel P15 network connection stops at 3G, making the device somehow outdated as most smartphones now feature 4G LTE network connection.

The iTel P15 is specifically designed for enthusiasts who want a basic Android smartphone but don’t want to spend much on it. iTel P15 can be bought for ₦23,000 ($60) at any leading shop or slot in Nigeria.
